“Paola racconta Anna” is a journey, a performance that tells the life of the great Anna Magnani through personal stories and portraits of the diva drawn by her friends, as well as theatrical moments created by the words of timeless authors like her who managed to depict the historical period, the humor of the time, or even the type of voracious love Anna Magnani had. In short, these are not necessarily biographical texts but attempts to describe the state of mind of both the woman and the actress. Through video clips from her films, poems by Pierpaolo Pasolini, Giuseppe Gioachino Belli, Mauro Marè, Sara Kane, and Rodrigo Garcia, as well as songs by Gabriella Ferri and Anna Magnani herself, Paola Minaccioni tells the story of one of Rome’s most iconic figures, accompanied by original live music composed by Valerio Guaraldi.

The text is by Elisabetta Fiorito, a journalist from Radio24, writer, and playwright. The performance is directed and interpreted by Paola Minaccioni: actress, comedian, radio presenter on Rai2, winner of the Globo d’Oro in 2012, Nastro d’Argento in 2014, the Anna Magnani Award in 2021, and the Premio Nono Manfredi.
