Cultural Association I Concerti nel Parco

The Cultural Association I Concerti nel Parco, founded in 1991, has as its main statutory objective “the dissemination of musical culture, with specific attention to the youth, through the organization of artistic initiatives in public places that are regularly frequented by the community for recreational purposes, such as public parks, in order to encourage the artistic sense of participants and raise public awareness of the relationship between Music - Environment, Art - Music, and to promote the recognition of art and music as essential elements for daily life.”

The flagship of I Concerti nel Parco programming is the eponymous festival, which over the course of thirty years (1991-2022) has become one of the most appreciated and attended events of the Roman Summer. In Rome and Lazio Region, hundreds of concerts, live shows, and performances have been organized from June to September, featuring prominent international stars as well as young and promising Italian talents.

Venues

The privileged setting for the festival has been public and private villas of exceptional natural beauty, such as Villa Pamphilj, Villa Abamelek, Villa Massimo, as well as historically and architecturally significant locations discovered and used for performances in the 1990s for the first time and exclusively by I Concerti nel Parco, such as the Cloister of the Sacred Heart at Trinità dei Monti, the Cloister of Bramante at Piazza Navona, and the Dalla Libera Terrace at the Auditorium of the Congress Center in EUR.

From 2002 to 2015, the summer programming of I Concerti nel Parco took place continuously at Villa Doria Pamphilj, and from 2016 to 2022, it moved to the park of the Casa del Jazz, formerly Villa Osio, the current residence of the festival, realized in collaboration with the Musica per Roma Foundation.

I Concerti nel Parco has established prestigious partnerships and cultural collaborations with public and private performance organizations, both locally and nationally, including the Musica per Roma Foundation, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, and in Italy, among others, the Piccolo Teatro di Milano – Teatro d’Europa, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Taormina Arte Foundation, the Ravello Festival, and the Mittelfest. It has also created significant synergies and city networks through the establishment or participation in committees such as the “Coordinamento Spettacolo Lazio” and “iFestival di Roma.”

The Cultural Association I Concerti nel Parco was one of the winners of the 2020/2022 Regional Project of the Lazio Region under LR 29.12.2014, n.15 and subsequent amendments; and the Public Notice “Estate Romana Triennium 2020 – 2022” of the City of Rome. I Concerti nel Parco has received recurrent and continuous funding from the FUS (Fund for the Performing Arts) of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism since 1992.

The Cultural Association I Concerti nel Parco has ongoing collaborations in the Lazio Region, in the Province of Viterbo, with the municipalities of Canepina, Vignanello, Vallerano, Vetralla, and carries out intensive project-based activities throughout the year through specific collaborations with other performance entities.
