A story of a CD, an Oscar, and 250 concerts around the world
In 2001, at just over 72 years old, Ennio Morricone made a decisive turn in his career—and in his life. He embarked on a worldwide concert tour, conducting his own music live as never before. A few years later, he received the Academy Award, becoming a true global star.
What did this radical change mean for him?
How did the public’s perception of the artist and his music evolve?
In June 2023, the book “We All Love Ennio Morricone” was published in Italy by Luigi Caiola, who managed Morricone from 1997 to 2015. Caiola produced 15 CDs and DVDs and launched the Maestro’s concert career leading up to his 2007 Oscar win.
Among the most successful productions were:
-
“Arena Concerto” CD/DVD – documenting Morricone’s debut in live performance
-
“We All Love Ennio Morricone” CD – featuring international artists such as:
Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Eumir Deodato, Bruce Springsteen, Celine Dion, Roger Waters, Andrea Bocelli, Yo-Yo Ma, and others.
This project is unique for its use of audio and video materials created or approved by Morricone, including testimonials from artists and managers close to him throughout his life.
