A new summer show: Filosofà, Disquisizioni comiche da divano, with Corrado Nuzzo and Maria Di Biase, and the extraordinary participation of Matteo Saudino (Barbasophia) and Orchestrina Filosofante with music by Paolo Damiani.
A “non-show” performance that will live every night through the continuous interaction between stage and audience, making the public itself a protagonist under the guidance and direction of Corrado and Maria, coming off an extraordinary theater season. The show also draws on the philosophical reflections, never trivial, of Matteo Saudino, known as Barbasophia. A show available only for a handful of dates, with each performance being different, designed to make you laugh and reflect lightly in the name of love.
What do two comic actors and a philosopher do together on a couch in the middle of the summer of 2025? First of all, they have fun, creating a true live show that’s different every time. And then, they’ll entertain us too, trying to chat together—between the serious and the playful, between musical interludes—about Love, the great topic from which everything more or less descends. Indeed, according to Plato, the five stages of love are: body, soul, laws, sciences, and pure love. It’s easy to see how this theme can encompass everything, in an ideal journey through the contemporary world, touching on many aspects: from sex to power, from politics to food, from beauty to social media, to taboos, and even the ultimate taboo—death.
Filosofà is a “non-show” performance that will thrive on the essential involvement of the audience, music, and surprise guests, who will join the show. No performance will ever be the same as the others.
Corrado Nuzzo and Maria Di Biase are a couple both in life and on stage. They move effortlessly and with versatility between television, radio, and theater (they have recently enjoyed success with “Delirio a due” by Ionesco). Matteo Saudino is the “rock philosopher,” better known as Barbasophia, who has found the right way to make us understand, in a simple yet not simplistic way, how important philosophy is for analyzing the present (just think of his books—especially “Ribellarsi con filosofia”—or his podcast “Pensiero stupendo,” not to mention his highly followed YouTube channel). The three met on TV during the show “Pour Parler” and instantly liked each other, sharing the same worldview, the same carefree pessimism—never cynical, but always a little disenchanted. To enrich the experience, there’s the Orchestrina Filosofante with the music of Paolo Damiani. And voilà, this new, unmissable show for the summer.
After Casa del Jazz, the tour will continue to Venaus, Borgate dal Vivo Festival, San Mauro Pascoli - Villa Torlonia Teatro, La Spezia – La Spezia Estate Festival, Alessandria - Attraverso Festival, Saluzzo - Attraverso Festival.
Co-produced by I Concerti nel Parco – Produzioni Fuorivia.
